We have entered a defining moment, a place in the history of America where none of us have been before.  So, where do we go from here? I cannot answer that for anyone else.  Rog and I can only answer for ourselves and for Places In The Father’s Heart.
At the moment the announcement came that there would be a second term for Obama, I quietly asked the Father, “Where do we go from here, Lord?”   Immediately He drew my attention to the picture we have of the vision He gave us on February 10, 1980 and to the purpose and destiny He has for us there.  We are to establish a retreat and restoration ministry in South Western Colorado.  It will be a refuge of peace, rest and tranquility; a training and healing center for God’s wounded and worn out warriors; a place for them to come and be healed and refreshed so that they can return to their assigned places of ministry in the end times.  I saw for the first time with my spirit, just how necessary and profoundly important these refuges will be (He will have them all over the world) and how vital it is for us now to have absolute laser focus on this assignment we have been given.
Over the years since the vision was first given, we have wondered so many times why the Lord has continued to tarry with it…why have we had to wait so long.  In the beginning and throughout many of the first years, it was because WE were not ready.  In later years, He began to show us the importance of His perfect timing in the scheme of Heaven.  Finally in these latter years, we have come to a place of peace and rest about the vision fully trusting Father to bring it to pass when He knows best!  This week, however, there has been an uptick in my spirit that we have entered an accelerated period of time and that things are coming together more quickly.  The scripture we have stood on since the vision was given is Hab 2:2-3  NLT “Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer in large, clear letters on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else.  But these things I plan won’t happen right away.  Slowly, steadily, surely the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.  If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.  It will not be delayed.”  It would seem that there is contradiction in these verses but that isn’t true.  The vision will tarry, but when it comes, it will surely come ‘suddenly.’  We must be ready.

So, where do we go from here?  We must carefully and obediently follow His lead and we know that our vision and purpose must now be targeted like a laser on a heat seeking missile.   We must be ready.  We look through a glass darkly and we certainly do not pretend to know all that Father has planned for the rest of our future and for the ranch vision.   We do know that His purpose is our destiny.  We will fulfill it.  We also know we could never accomplish this vision and purpose alone.  We will need others who ‘catch the vision’ with us.  We will need a community of believers working alongside us to see this vision come to pass.  If you think that might be you; if you are feeling that little ‘niggle’ in your spirit as you read this, we encourage you to seek the Lord and ask Him, “Father, do you want me to partner with PITFH to see this vision of a ranch refuge come to pass?”  Partnering does not necessarily mean financial partnering.  It means many different things to different ones.  Your answer to that first question precipitates the next question, “Father, how do You want me to partner with PITFH?”  You will gain insight into this answer when you define your giftings and talents and your passions!  Where does your heart beat with great desire as you think about building the Kingdom of God here on earth?  Next question?  Are you ready to get ready?  God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called.  So, where do we go from here…any place the Lord wants to take us as long as it is building His Kingdom here on earth.  “And the government shall be upon His shoulders and of His Kingdom there shall be no end.”  Amen and so be it, Lord!
In the Father’s love,
Gerri
