New eBook Release

We are pleased to announce the release of Roger’s new eBook “The Evidence Is In, Volume II.”  All of our eBooks are available to download free of charge from our website.

Here is Evidence #2:

THE EVIDENCE IS IN: Victimization diminishes a person’s potential and quality in life.

Have you ever stopped to think about how many different ways a person can be victimized?  I’m especially thinking about wounding events.  Contrary to popular belief, which is secular, wounding or victimization doesn’t just go away.  The ignorant and simple minded will say things like, “time will heal it, just get over it, buck up, be strong, put it behind you; it’s time to forget it and get on with your life, or think about something else.”  REALLY!

One of the negative impacts of victimization that is common in most of these situations is fear.  […]

Marriage Training by Roger

Now by this title you are probably thinking that I’m about to announce a three day seminar for married couples. That’s logical, but you would be wrong! I’m thinking about marriage training that takes place in the marriage relationship as husband and wife do life together. The more I think about it, the more complicated it gets!
Think about it with me. If you say something or do something and your spouse bites your head off and hands it back to you on a platter, do you think maybe you should learn from the experience? That’s potential training. If you behave a certain way in public or in front of company and your spouse gives you the silent treatment for three to seven days (the duration is dependent on the gravity of your offense). […]

Sheriff Detains Gerri!

Here is another “Growing Old Gracefully” tale. I’m laughing now, but earlier this morning I was NOT laughing!

In my 74+ years, I have never had the experience of operating a home security system. Oh, I’ve seen the security pads on the wall of houses I’ve been in, but never had the experience of operating one. This week we have been house and pet sitting for the family we are staying with. The big house across the yard is equipped with a security system, so before our friends left Monday on vacation, we sat down with him and he gave me instructions on how to operate the system. Being one of due diligence, I carefully wrote all the instructions down. Monday through Thursday went off without a hitch. I relaxed a bit thinking ‘I’ve got this.’ Thursday evening the frames […]

“A Declaration of Self-Acceptance” ~ Jerry & Denise Basal

If someone asked you if you accepted and loved yourself, how would you respond? In counseling hundreds and hundreds of people over the years, the more frequent response is, “Not so much.”

We invite you to embrace the following declaration of who you truly are. Read it slowly aloud and remember that what you are reading is in full agreement with what God says about you.

I am me. I am made in the very image of God, just a little lower than the angels. I am unique. In the entire world there is no one exactly like me. This means that I am important to God.

I can accept myself because God accepts me. I can love myself because God loves me. I know that I matter because God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, and through him he gave me the […]

I recently counseled with a very bright and engaging mid-aged couple. Tom’s a seminary professor and Mary (not their real names) is a psychologist. Despite their intelligence and education, they could not resolve their marital conflict. It recalled my belief that unresolved conflicts are like icebergs.

An iceberg is a large piece of freshwater ice that has broken off a glacier or an ice shelf and is floating freely in open salt water. Another name for iceberg is “ice mountain”.
Ninety percent of an iceberg is below the surface and not visible, thus making icebergs serious maritime hazards. The expression “tip of the iceberg”, illustrates a difficulty that is only a small, visible part of a larger, complex problem.
In their case the tip of the conflict was her accusation that he treated his 10-year-old son from a previous marriage better than […]

Growing Old Gracefully by Gerri

I have been saying for several years now that I was going to write a book on growing old gracefully. I’ve never seen anything written on the subject, but that is not to say I’m the first to tackle the subject!

Recently I turned 74 years old. I can honestly say it was THE best birthday I have ever had! I was shown love, honor and respect from so many people in my life. A few years back Rog and I made the decision to buy each other a birthday gift on OUR own birthdays! It has been such magnificent fun. I started out by getting him a lawn blower! Seemed tools were something he could always use. But this year was different. I was able to arrange for him to take a ride in a small private plane and […]

A Prophetic Word ~ Lana Vawser

Posted on March 28, 2019

Recently I heard the Lord say:

“Those who have mocked you and spoken against you will now stand in awe of My blessing and favour upon you.”

Those who have spoken against you, those who have mocked you for obeying the Lord, those who have mocked you for following the Lord’s strategy, those who have spoken out against you and behind your back out of jealousy, the Lord showed me their mouths are about to be left open in awe at the hand […]

Prodigal Family Members Are Coming Home ~ by Kris Vallotton

March 22, 2019

I believe the Lord is moving on the earth as a Father! Not only that, but I believe we have entered into a season of family reconciliation!

I was in a prayer meeting recently and the Lord began to speak to me about the prophetic season we are in as the Body of Christ and He expanded my understanding of what He is doing on the earth. As you probably know, the Lord has been showing me the cultural side effects of the fatherless generation over the last few months. God spoke to me and said that this season is not just about Him moving as a father, but also about the restoration of earthly families.

I see God releasing a new grace and anointing for broken families to mend, heal and come together! I believe that families […]

What Parents Need to Ask Themselves ~ Jim Burns

What Parents Need to Ask Themselves – Are you caring for your adult children or enabling dependency?
By Jim Burns ~ Published by Fox News

Something wakes me up. I look at the clock and it is 2:30 a.m. I then discover what, or rather who, disturbed my sleep. It’s my wife, Cathy. She is just lying there next to me with her eyes wide open.
“What’s up?” I ask. “You okay?”
“Yes, I’m okay,” she says. “I was just thinking about Becca.”
“Is she okay?” I ask.
“I guess so,” Cathy replies. “I just don’t know.”
I give her hand a reassuring pat. “Is there anything I can do for […]

Shoveling Snow and Dandelions ~ by Gerri

Many times over the years in prayer ministry we have used the example of the growth of the dandelion. Roger being trained as a horticulture major in college shares so well just how prolific the dandelion becomes when you ‘chop the flower off the top of the plant!’ He says, ‘if you do not dig out the tap root of the dandelion, it only lives to produce more flowers and seed in another day.’ So it is with our strongholds. If we do not get to the root of the stronghold problem, it only remains to live again in our future stronger and more prolific than ever!

If you know anything about my past, you know that I was a queen of co-dependency with my children. Longing to not see them suffer, I didn’t realize that it was my own […]

Women as Pastors

Recently an article was posted by Shane Idleman, founder and pastor of Westside Christian Fellowship in Southern California.  It is one of the best we have seen written on the topic of women in the pastorate.

In years past we served in a mainline denomination that allowed women to be ordained in pastoral ministry and we served in her church for a time.   Through that experience we saw many of the problems that Shane talks about in this article. We feel he has captured the heart of Father as he writes this well balanced, scriptural approach to this subject.  His article follows.  Blessings,   Roger and Gerri

Let me begin by saying that I know and appreciate many women who have been recognized as pastors. They are diligent, steadfast and hard-working. Our country has done a great disservice to women over the […]

Sometimes it can creep into our lives with an unwelcome stealth. I would never have conceived that I could be surrounded by a husband, kids, and friends, and yet still feel its clutches suffocating my heart. But there I was, married 10 years, two kids, busier than ever, and yet lonelier than I had ever been. And it seemed to me that my husband was totally oblivious to my needs and more often than not, to me!
He was a good man, co-founder of a megachurch, chaplain for the Detroit Lions, inspiring on stage and a leader of men. Everyone loved him and wanted to follow him but I was left in his dust.
My heart felt bruised and cold like the chilling winds that skate over Lake Michigan in the dead of winter.

I never thought I’d live to see the day that treason became acceptable in the USA! Sadly, that day has arrived and we as a nation have lost our identity! American citizens are no longer required to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Those who openly reject our established way of life, our democratic republic and capitalism in particular are allowed to run for and hold public office. They even run for President. It is obvious that these socialist, Marxists, communists, Nazis, and other perverse, destructive characters are becoming more and more popular in our nation since they are being mainstreamed and elected to public office.
When treason becomes acceptable, self-destruction is inevitable. God established America on a solid, Godly foundation and He protected, blessed and prospered us […]

When God Says ‘No’ by Roger

While we were living in South Carolina our pastor asked Gerri and I to fill in for him on a Sunday morning. The night before, the Lord gave me two skits to do for the service! First of all I don’t do skits. I had never done anything like that! Gerri is the drama queen! However, I pushed through my fear and it turned out great!
Now, let me share the skit having to do with God saying ‘no’. I played a 14 year old boy. I asked a friend in the service to play my Dad in the skit. My instruction to him was no matter what I say your answer is to be ‘no’ and then ad lib. Here is the skit…
Dad comes home from work. The moment he […]

A Real Relationship, Or Just Dating? by Christen Limbaugh Bloom

Have you ever been in a relationship in which you felt you were giving 90 percent and the other person was giving 10? You put in so much effort to make that person feel confident or loved and that person completely took you for granted. They talked. You listened. But nothing was ever reciprocated.
Before my relationship with Jesus changed, I used to say half-hearted prayers before I went to sleep. They were, for the most part, apologies for how I had come up short and cries for help to save me from all of the messes I had made. But you know what they weren’t? – a conversation.
Prayer is meant to be both a conversation and an invitation for God to participate in our lives. I did not understand this concept for the LONGEST time, and when I finally […]

Mastering Love – Mastering Life by Roger

Father says that life is love and love is life, therefore if we master love we can then master life. To me this means I must master love in order to experience life to its fullest potential. Like it or not Father has designed the only pathway that will lead us to life’s full potential and He is that pathway. He is love and the only true source of love available to mankind. If we are to master love we must have the empowerment of His grace at work in us to dethrone self and in humility become God centered. Supernatural encounters with Father, Son and Holy Spirit will strengthen our resolve, our commitment, and our determination to become the supernatural Child of God that we were created to be. Those supernatural encounters with God are in reality supernatural […]

A Godly leader must be:

  • Empowered by love
  • Bathed in humility
  • Steadfast in authority.

A Godly leader must not lord it over their subordinates. This is Jesus’ command. A Godly leader invites subordinates to participate in the decision making process, give their opinion, share their experience, ask questions, hear from the Lord and contribute. A Godly leader must have authority and responsibility. He or she is responsible for both. A Godly leader must have the ability to bring correction and if necessary, disciplinary action to their team. At the same time we must be able to give our team permission to not be perfect. Mistakes are to be expected, just not repeated. A Godly leader must be secure enough and responsible enough to teach their subordinates everything they know so that each individual and the team succeed. A Godly leader […]

Right is Wrong and Wrong is Right by Roger

EVIDENCE #9:  Right is wrong and wrong is right.

Do you remember the Scripture that says “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil?” Well, it’s here! Almost daily the news media spreads the reality that what was once considered right is now wrong, and what was once considered wrong is now right! The table is upside down and confusion is our norm! It’s like there is a mesmerizing spirit that has descended on our society as a result of our corporate rejection of God and that spirit is deceiving us into accepting evil as good!

In our eBook Prayer Ministry there is a chapter titled “The Lies We Live By.” In that chapter we try to share the reality that when we truly believe something […]

Re-Launch of THE EVIDENCE IS IN by Roger Taylor

We are doing a re-launch of Roger’s new eBook The Evidence Is In.   In our first launch we had a major glitch  which resulted in taking the eBook down from the website, and correcting the problem.  Thanks for your patience!
Today the re-launch is available and we have added a Forward to the book written by our editor, Carol Bandi.  Carol has been a tremendous blessing to PITFH by providing the editing to all our eBooks.  She continues to say that she is the fortunate one because she gets the first peek at the material!  THANKS CAROL!

This collection of Evidences is a marvelous and wonderfully refreshing affirmation and restatement of Biblical principles illustrated humbly and transparently from Roger’s own life experiences. His straight-forward and no-nonsense writing style make this an enjoyable […]

Evidence #19 by Roger Taylor

THE EVIDENCE IS IN:  Our flesh can be a dominant taskmaster if permitted.
As I speak of flesh here I am speaking of body and soul [mind, intellect and emotions].  This dynamic duo can be a powerful enemy to health and happiness.  In fact, wounded flesh can be a formidable enemy to Kingdom living.  Just think of the many ways our body and soul interact with each other.  For example, when your body isn’t feeling well, can it have a negative impact on your soul?  Likewise, if you soul is having some bad days, can it have a negative impact on your body?  The answer to both questions is obviously ‘yes’.  We’ve all had the experience, haven’t we?  Life itself has its struggles for everyone and we must learn to deal with them as they come.  However, if your trouble […]

“Emotional Incest: The True Cost of a Bottle of Two-Buck Chuck” by Jerry & Denise Basel

When the parental role is reversed and the child becomes responsible for the cares and needs of the parent or the marriage, it creates a profound wound in the child. This is often termed “Parental Inversion.” A more serious form of this occurs when the child becomes the emotional (and sometimes physical) support, confidant and comforter for the parent. This is referred to as “Emotional Incest” or “Substitute Mate.”
One of our clients told his story of emotional incest through a letter he wrote to his mother. (This was not to give to her but to use as an exercise to help him process the pain, grieve the impact of the unhealthy relationship, then forgive and heal). We share his letter here with his permission, in hopes that his story may help others in their healing journey. (For the reader’s […]

Kayla Stoecklein Responds to Husband, Andrew’s, Recent Suicide

In an agonizing blog post, Kayla Stoecklein responded to her husband, Andrew’s, weekend suicide.

“It’s only been three days. Nothing can take away the suffocating pain I feel now you are gone,” Kayla writes. “I miss every part of you, I see you everywhere. I replay the events of that fateful day over and over again in my mind, wishing I could have done things differently. Wishing I could have held your hand one more time and prayed over you and told you how much I love you, how much I believe in you, and how God’s got this too.”

She continues, “You were right all along, I truly didn’t understand the depths of your depression and anxiety. I didn’t understand how real and how relentless the spiritual attacks were. The pain, the fear and the turmoil you must have been […]

The Most Ridiculous Charismatic Doctrine We Ever Created ~ J. Lee Grady

10:00AM EDT 8/8/2018 J. Lee Grady

My friend Charles wanted a mentor. He was eager to learn the ropes of ministry, so he asked an older pastor for training. The pastor agreed—but Charles soon realized the man wanted a valet, not an apprentice. Charles became the man’s “armor bearer.”
The man never took Charles on hospital visits, involved him in ministry assignments or prayed with him. Instead, Charles was expected to carry the guy’s briefcase, fetch coffee and take suits to the cleaners—with no salary offered. In this case, “armor bearer” was a hyper-spiritualized term for “slave.”
The bizarre armor-bearer trend became popular in churches more than 20 years ago, but unfortunately, it’s still practiced in some circles. It appeals to insecure leaders who need an entourage to make them feel important.
Some pastors have even assigned trainees to serve as bodyguards—complete with […]

The Meaning of “Laus Deo” ~ Author unknown

The Meaning Of “Laus Deo”

One detail that is seldom mentioned is that in Washington, D.C. there can never be a building of greater height than the Washington Monument.  With all the uproar about removing the Ten Commandments, etc., this is worth a moment or two of your time.
On the aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in Washington, D.C., are displayed two words: Laus Deo.  No one can see these words.  In fact, most visitors to the monument are totally unaware they are even there and for that matter, probably couldn’t care less.  Once you know Laus Deo’s history, you will want to share this with everyone you know.
These words have been there for many years; they are 555 feet, 5.125 inches high, perched atop the monument, facing skyward to the Father of our nation, overlooking the 69 square miles […]
