THE VISION
The Vision is going to be key in these last days.
It is a place where the sound of the Spirit is released…
a place of signs, wonders and healing…
a place of intentional outreach, discipleship and training…
a place of refuge being established right now – the epicenter of Father’s love and His supernatural power that will change and influence individuals, regions and nations of the world.
“Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring – …he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” Romans 4:16a, 20 & 21
Where From Here, Lord? ~ by Gerri
We have entered a defining moment, a place in the history of America where none of us have been before. So, where do we go from here? I cannot answer that for anyone else. Rog and I can only answer for ourselves and for Places In The Father’s Heart.
At the moment the announcement came that there would be a second term for Obama, I quietly asked the Father, “Where do we go from here, Lord?” […]
Perspective on America From Another Nation
OUR DEAR AMERICA – Where do you go From Here?
by Wolfgang and Mercy Simson.
Today, Obama has been re-elected; all the efforts of many Christian
leaders, prayer movements, “prophets” and “concerned Americans”
who have lobbied, written appeals, articles, books, letters – some
have even done films – to warn not to vote for him have come to
nothing. Many of them have behaved as if the future of the Kingdom
of God is at stake. Well, it is not.
Can we, as foreigners who dearly love you as a people, say a few
words into this situation? […]
Praying Matthew 16:19 Effectually & Scripturally ~ by Gerri
Matthew 16:19 NIV “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
Recently we were contacted by a friend and partner with the ministry who asked if we’d read any of the books by Liberty Savard, Liberty Savard Ministries, Sacramento, CA. We had not. Our dear friend began sharing by phone with Gerri […]
Final Health Update ~ Our Healing Journey ~ Roger & Gerri
Our journey with Black Mold Poisoning began back in 2006 when we were living in a rental home that was infested with mold. We first discovered this when black mold began appearing on the walls of various rooms in the house. We knew before we moved in that there had been a house fire and that there had been significant water poured from fire hoses on the house, especially in the kitchen where the fire had started. Also after living in the house for a winter season, we noticed that there was very poor drainage around the foundation of the house and that there were no rain gutters on the roof. This allowed more water to funnel towards the crawl space of the house instead of away from the house. Later we learned from a professional […]
Word Study of The Beatitudes ~ by Gerri
Recently I did a word study from the Strong’s Concordance on the Beatitudes out of Matthew Chapter 5. Here are my notes. The words in bold are the scripture quotes; the numbers in brackets are the Strong’s reference numbers; and the words following the numbers are the meanings of the previous words as taken from the Strong’s. This enhances the reading of the Word for me. I hope it does […]
Stubbornness by R. T. Kendall
If someone is caught in sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. —Galatians 6:1
Stubbornness means being unteachable, inflexible, holding firmly to your own opinion and not giving in. A stubborn person is incorrigible. They never improve, and they don’t seem to learn. They will not admit to a fault, and nothing seems to change their mind. Have I described you? Do people who know you best think this about you? The chances are, if two or more people have thought it, there may well be something to it.
However, there are two kinds of stubbornness: there’s the stubbornness that can flow from the […]
Into Ever-Deepening Realities of Love by Wayne Jacobsen
Here is a follow-up article by Wayne Jacobsen that we recently posted on marriage and divorce. It is worth the read. Blessings, Roger and Gerri
Into Ever-Deepening Realities of Love by Wayne Jacobsen
I have been overwhelmed with email since posting the previous blog about the gift of divorce for those in abusive situations. Obviously there are a lot of people out there in very broken relationships, who fear even for their lives in dealing with an abusive spouse. My heart goes out to them and I pray God will give them the courage, wisdom, and help to find their freedom. Life is too short to live as the captive to someone else’s pain. I was also blessed to hear from so many for whom my blog relieved them from shame they had long been carrying for having gone […]
Christian Broadcasters Preparing for Jesus’ Return
http://articles.latimes.com/2012/oct/01/world/la-fg-israel-evangelical-20121001
“In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east . . . Then the LORD, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him!” –Zech. 14:4-5
(Jerusalem, Israel)—According to news reports, America’s two biggest Christian broadcasters have positioned themselves to catch any Messianic action on the Mount of Olives, such as is described in the Bible of Jesus’ return. (Edmund Sanders, Los Angeles Times / October 1, 2012) […]
Fall Revival – by Gerri
This time of year it is difficult to travel in any community without seeing church billboards advertising their Fall Revivals. A definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I believe that we have been misled by the organized church into believing that a revival is something every church does in the Spring and in the Fall. They call in a […]
We’re Back! ~ by Roger and Gerri
As many of you know from prior posts regarding our health, we have been in a very long and intense battle with health issues since we discovered we had Black Mold Poisoning. After entering an intense time of detox in September of 2011, in March of this year, we finally had to stop taking Prayer Ministry applications and focus entirely on getting well. We have […]
The Presence Driven Life ~ by John Paul Jackson
When we are filled with God’s presence, people who don’t know Him go out of their way to find out what is different about us. They see hope for change in us, and they want to know how this is possible and how it works. “What is this that you have, and can I have it, too?”
The presence of God is a huge attractant. People are not attracted to us because of who we are; […]
Divorce Can Be A Triumph ~ Wayne Jacobsen
Introduction by Roger and Gerri ~ In the early years of our ministry, we walked very religiously and legalistically on the subject of divorce. Over the years and through the many opportunities we have had to minister into troubled marriages, we have had to repent and take another look at the subject of divorce, especially for Christians. Because we almost ended up there ourselves in the first years of our own marriage, […]
Health Update
We want to thank so many of you who have sent emails, cards and called during our long health battle. Here is the latest update: Roger had two cataract eye surgeries during the month of August. What was supposed to be two very simple procedures became complicated for a number of reasons. […]
America ~ by Gerri
Often what we focus on we may be consumed by. The other morning when I awakened Father said, “worship of politics or worship of Me?” As I pondered and mused over this thought, I realized just how much our country, and the world for that matter, is consumed with political agendas and the upcoming national election. The question ran through my mind again, “worship of politics or worship of Me?” […]
A Remnant is Arising by Elaine Tavolacci
We serve a living God who wants to fellowship with us, speak to us and show us hidden mysteries from His word. We are called to a higher standard which is unknown to the natural man. Those who know Jesus Christ personally are called to live supernatural lives which should be exciting and adventurous. God wants to give us encounters, […]
Being Groomed for Triumph by Gerri
Recently there has been a huge assult against those in the Body of Christ who are truly seeking to follow after the Father’s plan and see His Kingdom coming here to earth as it is in Heaven.
Not long ago, during an intense battle with the enemy, one of our ministry intercessors called to say that she’d see in the spirit a ‘bloody battle’ that we’d been engaged in. […]
Just Say OK…by Gary Kinnaman
Here is an article from Gary Kinnaman, a friend and associate of Al Ells, Leaders That Last in Mesa, AZ. It deals with our often inability to let something or someone go when we have done all we can do. Most of us in the Body of Christ wrestle with this from time to time, especially in relationships. Gary’s simple, yet profound word gives us some sound advice. We highly recommend you check this out. If you don’t need it today, it’s likely you will in the not too distant future! http://leadersthatlast.org/pdfs/just_say_ok.pdf
Enemies of the State ~ Wayne Jacobsen
Today we celebrate American Independence. Do you want to know what I’m thinking today? I don’t often use this page for my political points of view, but I will today and many of you who are not interested are free to ignore it. I have never been more concerned for the present and future of our country. The noble ideal of a country founded on equal rights and equal justice under the law has seriously eroded in recent decades. Just because I don’t often write about that, doesn’t mean I don’t care about what’s being done with the American Promise. I care deeply and as a responsible citizen I speak up in whatever venues I think will be helpful for our country’s future. At the same time, however, my hope is not in […]
Coming Out of Colorado!
Much attention has been drawn recently to our beloved state of Colorado. We’ve fielded numerous phone calls and emails asking if the Lord is showing us anything significant from the recent tragic events. The answer is ‘yes!’ God is speaking . What He is saying concerns our entire nation.
This past week we received an email that contains a video of the opening prayer and comments from a Catholic priest made at the recent 2012 Colorado State Republican Convention held in Denver. In 5 minutes 12 seconds, we believe this priest hit the target spot on concerning our nation. We encourage you to listen to what he has to say in his comments after the opening prayer. It is by no accident that Father God is speaking from Colorado to the nation. He’s gotten our attention through all the tragedies. Now let’s listen […]
Roger’s Surgeries
We had a surprise this last week. Rog went to our optometrist on Wednesday for his usual checkup for new glasses. We were surprised to learn that he must have cataract surgery on both eyes. The doctor scheduled us with an appointment on Friday to see the surgeon. His surgeries are set for August 22nd and September 5th.
Generally this is a pretty common surgery and recovery time is short. The surgeon did tell us that his eyes did not dilate well and if that happens on surgery day, it could mean a much more complex surgery – five incisions in the eye as opposed to one. In that event, the surgery would take longer, the recovery would be more lengthy and the risks of the surgery would increase by 50%.
We are asking for your prayer support now as we seek […]
Honey, I Want Chicken for Dinner!
We are outraged at what has taken place with Chick-Fil-A concerning their stand affirming their Biblical view of marriage. We wanted to make a statement to encourage founder Truett Cathy and his family for boldly speaking truth and for running their business on Kingdom principles. So, for dinner on Wednesday, August 1st, we will be having chicken at our local Chick-Fil-A store. May You, Father, bless this business, their leaders and staff.
Below is a copy of Mike Huckabee’s letter that is being widely circulated. We hope that you will sign up to participate on August 1st and let’s pray that every Chick-Fil-A store runs out of chicken on that day!!! If you don’t have a Chick-Fil-A store in your area, be sure to forward this article to all your email buddies. We’re going to do both!
Blessings,
Roger and Gerri
Freedom ~ Roger
~ Freedom without responsibility = chaos.
~ Freedom without morality = self-destruction.
~ Freedom without love = self-idolatry.
~ Freedom without essential boundaries will result in tremendous pain and suffering.
The end result of socialism is bondage created by dependency on someone or something other than self and God. Socialism is nothing less than co-dependency and co-dependency creates irresponsible people. Co-dependency is often rooted in the need or desire to control. This is not freedom, this is bondage and has severe negative consequences.
Is this what we want? It’s a no from me, but this is where I believe we are headed. If we the people, do not wake up and take steps to change our course, then we the people will lose our freedom and suffer the consequences.
2 Corinthians 3:17 Amplified Bible (AMP)
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, […]
A Message from Father ~ Roger
Often I spend time reviewing my journals. It amazes me each time that I do this I find more of Father’s love and nature speaking to my heart. This one I believe is for all His children. I hope you will find this entry encouraging. Blessings, Roger
“Good morning Father. Would You, could You have anything to say to me this morning?”
“Yes, My son. My heart is so full of love for you and all My children. I will always have something to say to help you grow and understand life and love and Me. You see, life without My love is a perverted life. In fact, life without My love is not what I call life at all. Life without My love only offers a poor substitute for what I intended. So you see, My son, I have much […]
Abundance of the Heart vs. Intent of the Heart ~ Roger
What we see with our eyes can be overwhelmed by our hearts. What is inside can dominate what is seen on the outside. For example, a beautiful woman can look in the mirror and see ugly because of what is in her heart and how she feels about herself.
Ron McGatlin says it this way: There can be a difference in the abundance of our heart and the intent of our heart. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The intent of our heart might be to bless. However, if our heart is filled with stored resentment of painful experiences, it may become the abundance of what is in our heart. Our mouth will speak from the abundance of resentment and bitterness rather than from the intent of our heart to bless.
Luke 6:45 “A good man out of the good […]
Colorado Fires
Most of you close to PITFH know that we are on a temporary assignment from Father here in South Carolina. Our call and vision is to South Western Colorado where we will open a retreat and restoration center.
This past week we have been closely monitoring the fire situation over the entire state of Colorado. We’d like you to check out these incredible pictures from the Denver Post newspaper that were forwarded to us today. Please take just a few minutes to view these photos and then join us in a concert of prayer for Colorado and her residents. THANK YOU. http://blogs.denverpost.com/captured/2012/06/27/colorado-wildfires-waldo-canyon-fire-colorado-springs/5732/#.T-tFliq9qY0.facebook
