THE VISION

The Vision is going to be key in these last days.
It is a place where the sound of the Spirit is released…
a place of signs, wonders and healing…
a place of intentional outreach, discipleship and training…
a place of refuge being established right now – the epicenter of Father’s love and His supernatural power that will change and influence individuals, regions and nations of the world.

“Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring – …he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.” Romans 4:16a, 20 & 21

Sin Against Your Own Body ~ by Roger

Sin Against Your Own Body

Often we have prayer ministry clients come to us with some hefty physical needs.  Most have had prayer for the ailment(s), stood in endless prayer lines, rebuked and rebuffed spirits of physical infirmity and nothing has seemed to help them.  When we hear this kind of testimony, we begin to ask the Holy Spirit to take us to the root cause of their physical problem(s) occurring in their bodies. A Mother’s Day Tribute ~ by Gerri

Mother’s Day 2013

Today I would like to honor my Mom – Lucille Parsons.  She passed away December 13, 1979, but her memory lives on for me through her poetry.  She loved to write and won several awards for the poems she wrote mostly about our family life.  I’d like to share one with you here that is especially meaningful to me because it speaks of the kind of love that Places In The Father’s Heart is all about.  I hope you enjoy it and permission is granted to reproduce it and hang it in your own home or share it with others.

OUR HOUSE

OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE MAY SEEM TO BE

JUST LIKE ANY HOUSE YOU SEE.

BUT COME INSIDE AND YOUR WILL FEEL

A Father’s Broken Heart ~ by Roger

There was once a single father, a righteous man to all. His son and daughter, although grown now, still lived at home. His role of mother and father, while challenging at times, seemed to be going very well. He had taught them as best he could about life and love and respect and the value of intimacy in relationship and how choosing righteousness would be the pathway to success in life. He had also warned them about sin and its consequence. He plainly told them, “If you choose the sin, you also choose the consequence and the destruction it will bring to your life. […]

Where Are You Walking ~ Reece Bandi

I have written before about how a shaking is coming to America and the world, and truly it has already begun. The economy of the world is now being shaken, the world’s financial system (Babylon) is being shaken, the threats of war are shaking the hearts of many, peace on earth is being shaken, and politics and governments are being shaken. […]

Thoughts on the Redemptive Gift of Servant ~ by Gerri

REDEMPTIVE GIFT OF SERVANT

Romans 12:5-8  “So we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ (the Messiah) and individually we are parts one of another.  Having gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them: [He whose gift is] prophecy, [let him prophesy] according to the proportion of his faith; He whose gift is [practical service (the servant)], let him give himself to serving; he who teaches, to his teaching; He who exhorts, (encourages), to his exhortation; he who contributes (giver), let him do it in simplicity and liberally; he who gives aid and superintends (ruler), with zeal and singleness of mind; he who does acts of mercy, with genuine cheerfulness and joyful eagerness.

There are seven redemptive gifts of individuals listed here:  1) Prophet; 2) Servant; […]

The New Place ~ Gerri

On March 8, 2013 we posted an article answering the question of how do you die to your vision.  Since that time we have found ourselves in a very new place with the vision and the land Father has promised us for the retreat and restoration ministry.  We came across a picture of the property that carried a huge anointing from the Spirit and nearly simultaneously, He gave us a description for the vision that imparted His heart’s desire for this retreat in a very new way.   Once those two things were in place, Father spoke to me early one morning and told me it was time to publish this picture and His description.
As a result, we have literally been blasted into a new place in our journey to see the vision come to pass!  Suddenly we’ve begun getting  calls from […]

The Way of the Warrior ~ Graham Cooke

Close your eyes and imagine:
You’re on a battlefield; part of a small army facing a huge army of the enemy.  You’re out-numbered and out-gunned.  You’re going to die.  With the forces against you, there’s no way you can live unless you run away.  But you’re a Warrior ~ you’re not going to run.  Instead, you determine to fight well; to take as many of the enemy out with you as possible.
you set your face like a flint.  Feel the resolve on the inside of you right now.  Banish fear from your thinking, from your heart, from your perception.   Instead, look out across the enemy and pick the biggest warrior that is against you because you are determined to take him out first.  […]

Whose Disciple Are You? ~ Reece Bandi

In Matt. 28:19 Jesus instructs His disciples, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…”

But that verse has been revised by modern religions today to mean…Go therefore and make Catholics of all the nations… Go therefore and make Baptists of all nations….Go therefore and make Pentecostals of all nations, etc. In so doing discipleship becomes servant to denominationalism….i.e., as was argued in the early church…whose disciple are you? I am of Peter….I am of Paul…I am a disciple of the Methodists, etc. So just when did the disciples get labeled other than with the label of “Christian?” Just which one of the now over 300 denominations did God establish? Can all of them be the true worshippers of the Christ? Which denomination does God endorse today? Which ‘religion’ today has the most God? […]

Serving Another Man’s Ministry ~ Greg Mauro

I will forever remember as though we were standing there now, as you read these words.

The place: The walking bridge connecting the student parking lot to the bustling campus of Oral Roberts University, where the grandiose buildings and space age architecture were a daily reminder to the thousands of us students of Dr. Oral Roberts’ charge to “Make no small plans here.”

The time: 25 years ago.

The experience: A life-changing encounter that would set the course for my spiritual future in ways I would never have imagined when I woke up almost late for class that beautiful spring morning in Tulsa. […]

How to Die to Your Vision & Keep The Dream Alive ~ by Gerri

This week we received a phone call from a couple who asked a profound question of us.  Knowing of the vision we received from the Lord 33 years ago, they called to ask, “How do you die to your vision?”   They were struggling to understand how that might happen.

I will lay some foundation for our new readers.  When the Lord called us to leave our secular jobs and step into a faith ministry for Him, He gave Roger the vision of the entrance to a place with cabins nestled in the trees surrounded by high mountains.  With the vision Rog heard His audible voice say, […]

A Word Concerning America by Roger

Words of this kind are coming more and more frequently to the Body of Christ.  They are strong, yet there is always a thread of His love and offer of redemption in each one.  The following is one Roger received this past week.  The next one is from Doug Stringer.   Both are powerful.  They contain questions that each of us need to answer for ourselves.   May we all approach them with eyes and ears wide open to hear what the Spirit is speaking.  Blessings, Gerri […]

Is the Glory of God Departing From Us? by Doug Stringer

First Samuel 4 tells the story of one of Israel’s darkest hours. Israel had been defeated by the Philistines. The priests of God were dead. The Ark of the Covenant had been captured. After hearing the news of the ark and the death of her father-in-law and husband, Eli’s daughter-in-law (and wife of Phineas, the priest) named her newborn son Ichabod, meaning “the glory of God has departed.”

What was it that led to this dark hour? How did it come to be that the presence of God departed the land? And what can we in the church today learn from this sobering time in Israel’s history? […]

The Low Rank

Published 2/12/2013 from Ministry Today Leadership Devotionals.

But among you it will be different. Those who are the greatest among you should take lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant. — Luke 22:26

This verse states a view that is so different than what the world practices. According to the world, a leader is to have special privileges and to be treated better than everyone else. A former employee of mine thought that she didn’t need to do as much work because she had “paid her dues.” It only caused dissent with the rest of the employees. Wouldn’t you love to arrive at work someday and find your boss cleaning? Or how about the husband who doesn’t feel like he needs to help around the house because he is the “king of his […]

A Word From Father

It was announced this morning that North Korea has just completed another nuclear test.  Here is a word Roger received sometime back that describes the days and times we are in and the world’s chaos and differing opinions.  It also mentions the darkness and light that Gerri’s article talks about.

“The world is in chaos and chaos is in the world.  Confusion reigns east to west and north to south.  Differing opinions breed warfare.  Fear traps man in his comfort zone of beliefs not allowing the flexibility to deal with the crisis at hand.  Therefore, self-destruction is imminent.  Self-idolatry is a malignant cancer spreading around the world like wild fire, unable to be quenched!  Oh, the price man pays unnecessarily.  My Kingdom is at hand amidst the chaos.  The bright light of My love is glaring in the darkness at hand.  A true invitation […]

Embracing the Darkness ~ by Gerri

Comment from a reader on this article:  “Embracing the Darkness” is a Mercy Season classic, a primer for all who expect to survive the coming times and rise to victory in realizing their full birthright and inheritance in bringing the Kingdom of Heaven to earth.”  BC, Idaho.

In my last post, I shared that there had been a significant seasonal change here at PITFH.  Almost daily since that post, we have experienced the blessings of a new season after coming out of a yearlong season of darkness.

Father revealed many things during that season of darkness for which we are very grateful.  Most Christians dread the dark season or sometimes called the dark night of the soul. It’s important to note here that this darkness is not brought by satan, rather it is a time that God ordains in our lives. We have […]

The Winds of Change ~ by Gerri

This morning when I woke and looked out my kitchen window, I saw with my natural vision the same scene I have always seen out that window.  BUT in my spirit I heard the Lord say, “Something has changed.”  The view out my window this morning was not what I have been seeing for the past 2 years!  There was a knowing in me that, indeed, I was looking at something very new in the Spirit!  […]

The Winds of Adversity ~ by Gerri

“The winds of adversity do not always blow us backward. They often blow us to our destiny.”  Joel Osteen.

The winds of adversity can often blow long and strong in our lives.  We can embrace them and when we do, we allow them to blow us forward into our destiny or they will blow us backwards away from it.

I want to share with you a true story that recently happened to a dear friend.  It clearly illustrates how the winds of adversity can blow suddenly into our lives.  In this example, those winds have not driven my friend backwards, but they have clearly moved her forward into more of her destiny in the Lord.  […]

What’s New for PITFH for 2013? ~ Roger and Gerri

Some time back we heard Father speak to us, “Stop merchandising the anointing.”  At first we were a bit uncertain about what He meant, so we asked for clarity.  He asked us if everything we owned was His.  We answered, “Yes, Father, it is.”  He said, “Then I want you to stop selling your products and trust Me for your provision.  Make them free downloads or simply offer them on a love offering basis.”  No more selling in a store setting for Places In The Father’s Heart.  Depend completely on Me to provide for you.”

In obedience to this instruction, we are removing the store from our website.  All books, CD’s  and other materials will no longer be for sale.  Everything on the site will now be offered either as a free download or on a love offering basis.  […]

Worship in Quietness ~ R. T. Kendall

In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength. —Isaiah 30:15, KJV

There is a much deeper level of worship, one in which we are unable to express ourselves verbally or nonverbally—where we are utterly passive. The highest and most intense worship takes place when we can do nothing but be amazed, when we are rendered helpless and speechless with wonder and gratitude, when we just sit back and watch God work. This is what Isaiah is talking about in this verse.

How many people are utterly frustrated? They have tried everything, and the result has only been fatigue. A minister once said to me, “I had to ask for a sabbatical. I’m burned out.”

When we don’t wait on God and are always trying to do things ourselves, the result is endless turmoil. […]

A Christmas Miracle ~ by Roger

The following is a true story.  It happened Christmas 1984, but it still warms and encourages our hearts today.  We wish you this kind of Christmas!  Blessings, Roger and Gerri

It was Christmas time.  We had no money for a tree much less presents or anything else!  I was very depressed and angry.  We continued to minister and give and give and give every way we knew how.

Our church had planned a Christmas dinner.  The purpose was to include the poor, the homeless and the unchurched.  The church secured a large room at the county fair grounds for the event.  Each family was to bring a large covered dish to add to the table that was being prepared.  When that day came we had two quarts of home canned green beans.  That was all that was left in the pantry: […]

America and Our Future ~ by Roger

For the past seven years, Father has been speaking to me some profound and unpopular messages.  As they have come, I have journaled them.  I believe  it is time now to share them openly and unreservedly with you.  On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, when the announcement came that Obama had been re-elected for a second term, I felt great sadness and entered a time of deep grief for my country, yet I knew that what I was seeing happen was from the hand of my Heavenly Father.  He had been saying this to me and many others since January of 2005.  I have asked Gerri to recap these selections from my journal and post them here for you to read.  Some of these warnings we have posted in earlier blogs, but I feel it important that I share them with […]
