Mother’s Day 2013

Today I would like to honor my Mom – Lucille Parsons.  She passed away December 13, 1979, but her memory lives on for me through her poetry.  She loved to write and won several awards for the poems she wrote mostly about our family life.  I’d like to share one with you here that is especially meaningful to me because it speaks of the kind of love that Places In The Father’s Heart is all about.  I hope you enjoy it and permission is granted to reproduce it and hang it in your own home or share it with others.

OUR HOUSE

OUTSIDE OUR HOUSE MAY SEEM TO BE

JUST LIKE ANY HOUSE YOU SEE.

BUT COME INSIDE AND YOUR WILL FEEL

A SPECIAL GLOW AND WARM APPEAL.

THESE FOUR WALLS HOLD A WORLD APART

WHERE A ‘HOMEY’ FEELING WARMS YOUR HEART.

IT HAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT,  SOMETHING DEAR …

FOR LOVE AND HAPPINESS LIVE HERE.
